Character Design Workshop for Girlguiding Festival

We created a new Character Design workshop for the Girlguide’s Survive to Thrive festival, inspired by their theme of ‘Resilience.’ The Guides created a monster based on a worry or obstacle they’re facing and a superhero version of themselves to overcome them.

We explored how to translate abstract themes like exam pressures and fear of heights into characters, and how to communicate a feeling through the scale, shapes and detail of a character. Our Comic Planners were available to take home to help the Guides to create comics from their new characters.
